Reinsurance Actuary - Short Term Contract (12 To18 Months)

Guy Carpenter is looking for a reinsurance actuary located in Dubai or London. This is a 12 to 18 months short term contract to start around July 15th.
What can you expect?

• Act independently to propose actuarial services and valuations to regional insurance and reinsurance companies across IMEA, based on their current and future portfolios and objectives to help them mitigate their risk.
• Create and modify complex actuarial models, and proposes more value-added models to brokers and clients to assess their risk exposure and forecasts risks, losses and financial impact.
• Expand client services beyond reinsurance transactions to drive business development (e.g. capital and solvency adequacy advisory, reserving practices, actuarial and financial analyses, Natural and Man-made Catastrophe model development)
• Direct team to build complex models to assess risk and develop pricing strategies for a range of risk exposures. Peer reviews on the team operations.
• 
  Advise senior management on issues, progress, etc., regularly in order to ensure the reinsurance transaction process.
• Communicate strategically with brokers, re-insurers, and clients to anticipate client’s needs and drive usage of reinsurance actuarial services.
• Deals with ad-hoc and regular brokers/clients requests on Actuarial modelling and client presentations. Drive analytics marketing strategy to deliver GC Analytics value offering.
• Ensure continuous improvement on tools development, modernization and automation ensuring team awareness, utilization & training.
• Project management: Follow up on CAT model developments, Event response reports, READY opportunities development, new capabilities development, and other projects required based on brokers ‘needs.
• Implement monetization strategy of our tools and analytics services to grow additional revenue stream.
• Travel might be required based on brokers/client’s needs.
