Category Manager - Western + Traditional Snacks
Role Overview:
As the Category Manager - Western + Traditional Snacks, based in Nagpur, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Western and Traditional Snacks category for Haldiram's. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to develop and execute category strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Your insights and analysis will directly influence product innovation, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and distribution plans, ultimately impacting market share and brand equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies for Western and Traditional Snacks, aligned with overall business objectives, to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and inform category plans.
- Manage the product portfolio, including new product development, product rationalization, and packaging optimization, to meet consumer needs and market demands.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute channel-specific strategies, ensuring optimal product availability and visibility.
- Work with the marketing team to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising, promotions, and digital marketing, to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Monitor and analyze category performance, identifying key drivers and trends, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Manage the category budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and retailers, to ensure smooth operations and achieve mutual goals.

Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful category strategies in the FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the snacks category.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- MBA Marketing
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Category Management or FMCG Marketing.
- Comfortable working on-site in Nagpur.
