Your new role As an Accountant Graduate, you will embark on an exciting journey that will allow you to build a solid foundation in the accounting profession. In this entry-level role, youll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of accounting while contributing to meaningful financial operations within the company. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements (accounts receivables, accounts payable, profit and loss, and taxation), including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Maintaining general ledgers and preparing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assisting in the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to help the company achieve its financial goals. Collaborating with team members and senior accountants to improve financial processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the department. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with various departments across the organisation to ensure smooth financial operations. What youll need to succeed A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, AP, AR, PnL, financial statements). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and financial functions) and familiarity with accounting software is a plus. A keen interest in pursuing a long-term career in accounting and finance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
