About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Business Leader to head our Government Projects vertical, driving growth across current and future public sector opportunities. This role will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships with government stakeholders, and converting them into scalable business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Development
- Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities across government and public sector domains
- Proactively engage with government departments and agencies to create opportunities beyond published tenders
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with organizational growth objectives
2. Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth
- Drive end-to-end client acquisition in the public sector
- Own revenue targets and ensure consistent conversion of opportunities into business
- Establish long-term relationships with key government stakeholders and decision-makers
3. Strategic Pitching & Solutioning
- Collaborate with internal teams to design solutions aligned with client requirements
- Influence early-stage requirements to enhance win probability
4. Opportunity Evaluation & Bid Strategy
- Evaluate government tenders, RFPs, and large-scale opportunities from a strategic and commercial lens
- Drive bid/no-bid decisions and define winning strategies for key pursuits
5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Lead and mentor the business development team
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership
- Ensure seamless transition from business acquisition to project onboarding
Candidate Profile
1. MBA / PGDM from a reputed Tier-2 (or above) Business School - Mandatory
2. 12-25 years of experience in government business development / public sector consulting / infrastructure / advisory
3. Proven track record of client acquisition and revenue generation in the government sector

What We Are NOT Looking For?
- Profiles limited to tender processing, bid coordination, or backend documentation
- Candidates without direct exposure to client acquisition or revenue ownership
