Business Head - Government Projects

Role Overview
- As part of our expansion plans, we are looking for a seasoned Business Head to drive and scale our Government Business vertical.
- We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of the government ecosystem, someone who can identify opportunities, build strategic relationships, navigate government hierarchies, and convert opportunities into long-term business engagements.
- This role requires a strong blend of business development, strategic thinking, project ownership, stakeholder management, and financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify, research, and evaluate government projects, tenders, BID/RFP opportunities across sectors
2. Drive client acquisition, networking, and relationship management within government and public sector ecosystems
3. Develop strategic business plans, sales pitches, and growth strategies to generate new business opportunities
4. Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management from opportunity creation to implementation
5. Work on financial modelling, commercial structuring, and revenue planning for government projects
6. Resolve operational and financial bottlenecks, including coordination related to approvals and fund flow management
7. Build strong relationships with government stakeholders and understand administrative hierarchies for effective execution
8. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project onboarding and delivery
9. Lead and mentor teams while driving business growth across regions
Required Skillset:
1. MBA / PGDM from a reputed institute or Top 20 B-School in India
2. Minimum 15 years of experience in Government Business Development, Public Sector Consulting, or Government Housing / Infrastructure Projects

3. Strong experience in client acquisition, strategic business development, and revenue generation
4. Hands-on exposure to government housing, urban development, infrastructure, or large-scale public sector projects
5. Strong understanding of government processes, approvals, stakeholder management, and project execution
6. Experience in team handling and leadership roles
7. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
8. Comfortable with extensive Pan-India travel
