Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Expansion Manager to lead the rollout of new stores and service centers in the e-rickshaw and battery segment. This role demands a strong focus on on-ground execution, sales performance, and operational excellence. You will be at the forefront of driving growth and ensuring seamless day-to-day functioning across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Expansion & Store Launches

  • Identify high-potential locations for new stores and charging/battery swap stations
  • Lead site selection, lease negotiation, store setup, staffing, and vendor onboarding
  • Work with local authorities for compliance, permits, and approvals

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive local sales strategy for e-rickshaws, batteries, and service offerings
  • Build and manage partnerships with dealers, fleet operators, and micro-entrepreneurs
  • Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets per store/region

3. Operational Management

  • Oversee store-level operations, including inventory, servicing, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure proper implementation of SOPs and safety protocols
  • Monitor key metrics: footfall, conversion rates, service turnaround time, battery uptime, etc.

4. Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage on-ground sales and operations teams
  • Motivate staff to deliver on KPIs and ensure high levels of accountability
  • Lead periodic performance reviews and process improvement initiatives

5. Reporting & Feedback

  • Regularly report performance metrics to the leadership team
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback for product/service refinement
  • Track and optimize unit economics per location

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 37 years of experience in on-ground expansion, sales operations, or retail/channel management
  • Strong execution mindset with a hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Experience in EV, auto, battery, solar, or related segments is a strong plus
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and build systems from scratch
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and team management skills
  • Willingness to travel and hustle on the ground
