Role Purpose
To lead regulatory and dossier compilation activities for herbal and food supplement products across key international markets, with a focus on GCC, Africa, and the Middle East. The role involves managing a small regulatory team, driving compliance strategies, and ensuring timely product registrations and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end regulatory strategy and execution for herbal and food supplement products in GCC, Africa, and Middle East markets
- Manage and mentor a team of at least 2 regulatory professionals, ensuring delivery excellence and capability development
- Review and approve dossiers, product registrations, renewals, variations, and compliance documentation
- Liaise with internal stake holders, and hub teams to ensure smooth approvals and market access
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes across target markets and proactively assess business impact
- Ensure compliance with local regulations for labeling, ingredients, claims, and product classification
- Support new product development (NPD) with regulatory inputs during formulation and commercialization stages
- Drive harmonization of regulatory processes and documentation across regions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, legal, and commercial teams
- M.Pharm / M.Sc. (Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences or related discipline preferred)
- Additional certifications in regulatory affairs are an advantage
- 4-6 years of experience in regulatory affairs for herbal, Ayurvedic, or food supplement products
- Proven experience in handling GCC, Africa, and Middle East markets (mandatory)
- Prior team leadership experience (minimum 2 direct reports)
- Experience in a herbal, nutraceutical, strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in GCC and emerging markets
- Excellent dossier preparation and submission expertise
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
