About The Role
Were seeking a proactive and technically skilled Linux / Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at ZenoCloud. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Linux-based servers and cloud environments, ensuring seamless uptime and top performance for our global clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership of infrastructure projects, possess deep technical curiosity, and be capable of handling high-impact support scenarios. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced cloud technologies, contribute to infrastructure scalability, and support a diverse client base across different industries.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience as a Linux / Cloud Support or System Engineer. Proven skills in Linux server administration, troubleshooting, and cloud platform management are essential. Familiarity with AWS and virtualization technologies is required, along with strong communication skills for effective client interaction. Candidates should have prior experience working in ticket-based support systems and be comfortable working in rotational or 24/7 shifts to support our global clientele. A solid understanding of automation, scripting, and security best practices will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) across hosting and cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, load balancing, I/O, services, and network connectivity.
- Deploy and tune web stacks such as LAMP/LEMP (Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL/MariaDB) to meet client requirements.
- Monitor system health using tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana, proactively addressing alerts to prevent downtime.
- Perform log analysis, including syslog, journalctl, and application logs, to identify and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Apply security patches, OS updates, and implement hardening practices to safeguard infrastructure.
- Automate routine tasks and server maintenance using Bash scripting, Ansible, or Python to improve efficiency.
- Support cloud migrations and setup across providers such as AWS, DigitalOcean, and similar platforms.
- Configure networking components, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Manage hosting control panels like cPanel, Plesk, Webmin, and Virtualmin for client management.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, root cause analysis reports, and internal knowledge bases.
- Provide direct support to clients via email, ticketing systems, and chat, independently resolving escalated issues with professionalism and technical expertise.
