Job Description

As a Talend Developer at GlobalLogic, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using Talend Studio. You will work on integrating data from various sources such as databases, flat files, APIs, cloud services, and more. Your role will involve performing transformations on data to ensure consistency and accuracy before loading it into the target systems.
Additionally, you will collaborate with data architects to understand the data model and help translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will design and implement data pipelines to facilitate smooth data flow and apply data validation rules, cleansing, and transformation logic to ensure data quality. Monitoring and resolving data issues to ensure timely and accurate data loading into target systems will also be part of your responsibilities.

Optimizing ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability will be crucial. You will monitor system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks in data processing. Collaboration with business analysts, data architects, and other IT teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions will be essential. Working with database administrators (DBAs) to ensure the smooth performance of databases used in data integration is also part of the role.
Documenting ETL workflows, technical specifications, and processes for future reference and ensuring that all solutions adhere to best practices for security, performance, and scalability are key responsibilities. You will perform unit testing of data integration jobs to ensure functionality, debug and troubleshoot Talend jobs and workflows, addressing any issues during deployment.
Providing ongoing support for Talend-based data integration solutions and regularly updating and maintaining the Talend environment will be part of your job. Proficiency in Talend Studio, strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud-based tools, and soft skills such as problem-solving, communication, and collaboration will be essential for success in this role.
