About the Position:
Associate Project manager - Achieve the defined objectives for the assigned project, within the terms and conditions of the project and in compliance with the Hitachi Rail strategy and guidelines, support the detailed formulation of the strategy of the organisational unit by providing market intelligence inputs and a global picture on the projects delivery key data.
Key Accountabilities:

• Support the decision making on project/customer prioritization
• Ensure the metrics definition and editing of a projects summary aimed at the identification and the follow up of the criticalities, lesson learned and process KPIs
• 
  Ensure the monitoring of Project Management process improvement actions implementation
• Ensure the identification of opportunities to minimize contract risk and plan commercial risk mitigation strategies
• Support the project team in the contract management activities (i.e. identification and resolution of main contractual issues, action plan definition, etc…)
• Ensure the monitoring and review of the key projects progress against established plans through regular reviews (i.e. quarterly project review, etc…)
• Ensure key projects performances and risks assessment and support the definition of recovery plans
• Ensure reporting of the main criticalities and the key projects actions/delivery plans
• Ensure project backlog data analysis as per reporting requirements
  

With reference to the assigned project

• Ensure (during the bidding phase) the final validation, of bidding whole life costs estimation, revenues, margins and risks and work schedule
• Ensure the on time, on budget and on quality delivery
• Ensure the achievement of the targets of the assigned project in terms of Costs, Revenues, Margin and Cash in
• Ensure the achievement of the identified KPIs
• Ensure Client relationship by ensuring a direct interface with the client Contribute to the promotion of business opportunities and manage the Change Orders/Variation Orders
• Ensure customer satisfaction monitoring

  Ensure contract claims preparation and disputes handling in accordance to contract provisions (e.g. identifying and applying any preventive/corrective action)

Key qualifications preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree and PM Certification or Equivalent Technical Knowledge
