: Business Analyst Chief of Staff (Home Centre)

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-calibre Business Analyst to work closely with the Chief of Staff and leadership team at Home Centre. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, data science, and executive communication, supporting critical business priorities across merchandising, supply chain, stores, and digital.

The ideal candidate combines a consulting mindset, strong analytical and data capabilities, and the ability to craft clear, compelling PowerPoint narratives for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Problem Solving

• Support the Chief of Staff on priority strategic initiatives, business reviews, and transformation programs
• Structure ambiguous problems using hypothesis-driven approaches and data-backed analysis
• Conduct deep dives on growth, productivity, category performance, customer behavior, and operational efficiency

Advanced Analytics & Data Science

• Build and maintain analytical models to track and forecast business performance (sales, margins, inventory, availability, store KPIs)
• Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, drivers, and anomalies in large datasets
• Partner with data and tech teams to define metrics, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks
• 
  Support use cases such as demand forecasting, assortment optimization, inventory productivity, and pricing insights

Executive Storytelling & PowerPoint

• Create high-quality, executive-ready PowerPoint decks for leadership forums, reviews, and decision-making
• Structure slides with clear storyline, insights, and recommendations (MECE, pyramid principle)
• Convert complex analyses into simple, visually clean, and impactful slides
• Maintain high standards of formatting, visual consistency, and clarity

Execution & Stakeholder Management

• Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Stores, Finance, Digital, and Data teams
• Track execution of key initiatives and quantify impact against defined success metrics
• Act as a thought partner to functional teams on data-driven decision making

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background

• 1–3 years of experience in management consulting, analytics, data science, or strategy roles
• Exposure to retail, consumer, e-commerce, or operations is a strong plus
• Prior experience supporting senior stakeholders preferred

Core Skills

• Strong analytical foundation with hands-on expertise in Excel / Google Sheets
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and basic modelling (Clustering, Regression etc)
• Experience with Advanced BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)

Presentation & Communication Skills

• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to build decks end-to-end
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to translate data into crisp insights and recommendations
