Job Description
- As a Valuation Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the Valuation Process in the Private Equity, Credit, and Real Assets segments. This includes valuing financial instruments and complex corporate securities, analyzing equity/debt/commodities financial market data history, and employing various quantitative techniques. You will be expected to develop a deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets, serving as a valuable resource for expertise within the firm and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Your role will involve coordinating with third party valuation firms and deal teams to ensure accurate and timely valuations. You will be responsible for validating and updating valuation models, assessing methodologies, and creating summary materials highlighting significant changes/events and industry analyses for presentation to the valuations committees. Additionally, you will provide advisory valuation services to various business units on an ad hoc basis and produce senior management reports summarizing fund performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
In terms of qualifications and experience, you should have experience in building valuation models such as DCF, Market approach, and Option Models. Experience with capital markets/credit valuations, particularly with illiquid investments, bank loans, mezzanine loans, and private equity, is preferred. You should possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as an understanding of Alternative Investment strategies and products.
The ability to work under pressure and complete financial models within tight deadlines is essential for this role. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial services applications like CapIQ and Bloomberg are advantageous. A Bachelors or Masters degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering is required. A CFA professional designation or working towards one is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with a background in Finance, Valuation, or Investment Banking training programs are preferred.

You should ideally have 1.5 to 3.5 years of relevant experience for this position. The compensation package for this role is up to 15 LPA, and the location is Goregaon, Mumbai.
