We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager-Finance Operations (ALM-FCD)


Principal responsibilities:



  • Employ an improvement mind-set to participate actively and constructively in the work of the team.

  • With direction and guidance, support data validation activities.

  • Support development of materials to communicate information to or support discussions with different audiences.

  • With direction and guidance, support BAU processes and monitor compliance with control framework.

  • Understand business and Finance priorities, drivers and challenges and how own project fits in.

  • Understanding on regulatory requirements and accordingly assisting DV lead to finalize DV approach

  • All required documents completed

  • Activities prioritized and completed to required quality standards, in accordance with procedures and within agreed timescales

  • Line Management feedback on completion of activities and tracking of status during project lifecycle

  • Feedback from key Finance stakeholders

  • Build effective working relationships within own team and with other colleagues.

  • Fosters open and honest communication

  • Understanding complexity, dependencies and bottlenecks

  • Prioritization in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

  • Rapid response to issues.

  • Understanding the complex functional requirements and translating into DV approach to make it more effective

  • The role has been created to support Global Finance change initiatives with respect to IRRBB regulatory and other changes.

  • The role holder will support data validation of reporting solutions, which take into account group strategy and the challenges or risks that the group faces.

  • The role holder will collaborate with colleagues as part of a team.

  • Work closely with varying level of people in finance function, IRR program work streams, IT, Group & Regional ALCM & other stakeholders.




Requirements



  • Minimum 3 years of experience post qualification in finance domain and Minimum of 2 years proven and progressive experience in financial services data analysis and validation and/or application development. Preferred to have experience in Risk Management/ALM/IRRBB

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, computer Science, related field or equivalent experience. Prefer to have MBA Finance/FRM/CFA.

  • Understanding on IRRBB risk metrics and prefer to have overall understanding on ALM functionalities

  • Mind-set to learn new regulatory changes in risk management

  • Prefer to have QRM knowledge

  • Basic experience of data analysis and validation involving large, complex data sets: a natural curiosity and mind-set for solving data issues

  • Ability to work with little supervision, proactive, with drive and energy

  • Team player able to manage conflict and conflicting priorities

  • Attention to detail and desire and ability to see a task through to the end

  • Good interpersonal skills (both written and oral)

  • Flexible and adaptable approach

  • Desire and commitment to make a difference

  • Dynamic and willing to challenge the status quo

  • Ability to understand the detail but also appreciate the big picture

  • Delivery focused, and able to priorities own work and meet and manage deadlines
