We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data and Analytics Business Analyst

Business: Global Finance

Principal responsibilities

  • The role holder will be responsible for the management of the Finance value stream data requirements and supporting the delivery of the data to support value stream reporting needs
  • Analyze and review value stream data requirements, challenge requirements when necessary
  • Translating business requirements into solutions that can be delivered via the Cloud and ultimately consumed by Finance reporting functions
  • Manage and maintain the Finance value stream requirements backlog. Set up and drive meetings as required to deliver objectives, setting the agenda and ensuring appropriate inputs to facilitate effective decision making
  • Work with Finance, Data Architecture Office and IT to identify appropriate data sourcing solutions and develop plans that will deliver the required business outcomes
  • Apply an understanding of Finance priorities, drivers and challenges to balance required delivery timeline with delivery of strategically aligned solutions
  • Input into project delivery plans and manage release delivery scope, co-ordinate and run impact assessment activities with the requirement owners and IT, and escalate risks/issues in a timely manner for consideration
  • Support the delivery process, including inputs into design artefacts, test cases, etc, be responsible for tasks within the plan, tracking and reporting progress of milestones, stakeholders and management team
  • Liaise with different Lines of Business / Stakeholders / Project Teams; present findings / analysis to Project Management., confirm plans and manage cross-dependencies
  • Oversee the successful delivery of workstreams end to end, for example to include: requirements analysis, solution proposals, project approach, project plan and schedule, test strategy and plan, release and implementation activities. Able to deliver within Agile project approach

Requirements
  • Experience of documenting clear and targeted business requirements and other quality management documents such as status reports and presentations. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Good understanding of how data is used in Finance reporting processes, and experience on Finance reporting would be beneficial (e.g. Liquidity reporting, RWA reporting)

  • Good understanding of data feeds, data modelling, and the Finance Data Dictionary
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, Data Architecture Office and IT
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong management, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills including the ability to listen to and influence stakeholders at all levels, and to build consensus among a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
  • Experience using JIRA in project delivery
  • Technical ability such as use of relational databases (SQL and Big Query & Big Data - Nice to have) and analyzing large data sets
  • Committed to continuous improvement, self-motivated, confident, creative and capable of working effectively autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Strong ability to anticipate, identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate control, Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines.
