Business Banking


Through Business Banking our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.


We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Business Banking team.


Principal Responsibilities



  • The Jobholder will be responsible as Cluster Head for Mumbai in Western India. The jobholder is responsible for implementing consistent approaches to acquire quality new to bank customers through sales and service delivery channels, supporting our BB proposition. Ensure overall RM sales capability keeps pace with business needs, is aligned to BB strategy and reflects compliance and governance requirements.

  • The jobholder is responsible for providing management with an understanding of BB performance measured through analytics and scorecard performance metrics that identify key challenges and provide key solutions that will drive greater business performance:

    • creative in identifying solutions and is able to deploy these seamlessly across the business

    • brings innovation to business problems and performance challenges

    • align and manage BB sales initiatives and sales resourcing

    • support the implementation of products within the segment



  • Assisting with the development of a culture that has ‘treating customers fairly’ at its core, is focused on customer experience and the professionalism of our service proposition while achieving appropriate standards for credit, audit and operating risk.

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders ensuring that clear plans and priorities are developed for Business Banking aligned to specific India, Regional and Global functional strategies.

  • Demonstration of required AML and Sanctions knowledge through attendance at the one-day instructor-led training course and successful completion of the related post-course assessment




Requirements





  • Post Graduate from a top tier management institute is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Min experience of close to 10 years in frontline client facing role within wholesale/commercial banking focussed on Lending products.

  • Detailed knowledge of the Commercial Banking market

  • Sound understanding of Global CMB strategy, its relevance for Business Banking and its place within the wider competitive environment

  • Strong knowledge of competitor products / offerings and their positioning within the marketplace

  • Experience of winning valuable switchers

  • Some credit background with appraisal and analysis experience

  • Leadership and coaching skills having managed a team

  • Commercial Sales Management

  • Relationship Management experience

  • Ability to think strategically and laterally

  • Oustanding interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating

Additional Information



  • Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
