About HST Global
The Helpful Smiles Technology Global Center (HST Global) in Bangalore is a division of the Hy-Vee IT team named as the Helpful Smiles Technology Centre based in the US.
It supports Hy-Vee’s business growth and modernization needs by accelerating the adoption of technology across enterprise operations. It offers tech talent the unique opportunity to transform retail technology at Hy-Vee and understand different markets and cultural dynamics, as well as the opportunity to work locally and remotely on IT challenges. The Hy-Vee team is looking to expand its capabilities in Bangalore. HST Global will serve the entire IT organization across roles and functions.
Responsibilities
- Help execute the vision and strategy for the product implementation and integration with other systems in the Hy-Vee product ecosystem.
- Interface with key people from our business team and management to capture requirements.
- Work with the organization to distill large initiatives into a deliverable roadmap.
- Curate the product backlog.
- Work with the technical members of the team to ensure that product vision and technical execution are in harmony.
- Be organized and detail oriented.
Technical and Business Expertise
- Effective and patient communicator that can translate technical and non-technical issues to various team members.
- Proven ability to guide the definition and refinement of product vision and strategy.
- Hands on experience using agile methodology.
- Cross-functional leadership skills to execute product strategy.

- Multiple years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner
- Experience working within an environment with a Continuous Discovery/Delivery mindset.
- Multiple years of experience working directly with software engineers
- Ability to learn new domains quickly.
- Desire to grow as an individual through continuously learning new techniques.
- Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Must possess the ability to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; evaluate technical data, and counsel or advise people.
Experience & Education
- A bachelors degree is preferred, or equivalent experience
- 6 – 8 years of experience
