Job Description

TASKS: You will lead the Kochi-based Sustainability team in their efforts to track and report sustainability and environmental, social, and governance data. As Assistant Manager, you will work with your team of Sustainability Analysts to meet their goals and responsibilities. Some of these areas you will support include training and development, key performance indicators (KPI), reporting, and audit. The Assistant Manager also oversees monthly reporting to management. The position reports to Hubbells Sustainability Director. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Sustainability Analyst team based in Kochi and ensure training is performed in a timely manner for both new employees and for ongoing education of legacy employees.
  • Work with team members to meet goals related to performance and personal development.
  • Monthly reporting of KPIs related to all team activities and quarterly reporting to summarize data trends and improvement areas.
  • Frequent communication with the Sustainability Director concerning matters of day-to-day operations, challenges, and successes to enable team success.
  • Lead and continually improve the data collection process and work cross-functionally to enhance procedures, systems, and data completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop, lead, and improve data audit procedures including updating documentation as needed.
  • Provide support with data validation conducted by Hubbell’s Sustainability Analyst team.
  • Develop presentation materials for KPIs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • B.E. / B. Tech – Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Environmental
  • 3-5 years of direct people management experience.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals with limited supervision.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities within deadlines.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and data analysis.
  • Project management, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

    Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to achieve performance goals, including problem-solving acumen and collaboration with management and team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to work with a diverse global workforce.
  • Reporting and presentation skills - PowerPoint slide creation skills a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in process design and improvement is a plus.
  • Experience in sustainability either in an in-house role or as a consultant is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Envizi, SAP, PowerBI, and/or Capturis is a plus.
