Data Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain
Quant's core data and trading infrastructure. You will be responsible for building scalable systems for
ingesting, storing, and processing crypto market data, enabling our research, backtesting, and live
trading workflows. This is a foundational role where you'll collaborate closely with the research and
trading teams to establish the technical backbone of the firm.

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for real-time and historical crypto market data (tick,
  

order book, and trade data).

• Design and optimize databases and storage solutions for large-scale time-series data.
• Develop and manage cloud-based compute environments for research and production
  

(AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Implement data quality checks, latency monitoring, and automated alerts for system health.
• Build tools and APIs that allow quants seamless access to clean, reliable datasets.

• Design CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments for rapid deployment.
• Collaborate with researchers to integrate models and trading logic into production systems.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and recovery processes.
  

Requirements

• 25 years of experience in data engineering, backend, or infra roles within trading, fintech,
  

or high-frequency environments.

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL (knowledge of C++/Go is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Airflow, Spark, or similar data pipeline frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and distributed architecture.
• Experience handling large-scale, financial or crypto data.
• Familiarity with exchange APIs (WebSocket, REST, FIX) and time-series
