Job Description
- As a Data Platform Engineer- SSE, you will be responsible for designing and implementing foundational frameworks for ingestion, orchestration, schema validation, and metadata management. Your role will involve building robust, scalable pipelines for Change Data Capture (CDC) utilizing Debezium integrated with Kafka and Spark. You will also be developing internal tooling to standardize and accelerate data ingestion, transformation, and publishing workflows.
In this position, you will optimize data serving layers powered by Trino, which includes activities such as metadata syncing, security filtering, and performance tuning. Collaboration with SRE and Infra teams is essential to build autoscaling, self-healing, and cost-optimized Spark jobs on AWS EMR. Implementing observability features such as logs, metrics, and alerts for critical platform services and data pipelines will also be part of your responsibilities.
Furthermore, you will define and enforce standards for schema evolution, lineage tracking, and data governance. Automation of platform operations using CI/CD pipelines, metadata-driven configurations, and infrastructure will be key aspects of your role.
