Job Description
- As an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer with 10-15 years in the water industry, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Knowledge of design & estimation of MCC, PLC, cabling, and instruments
- Working in the process & proposal department for E&I estimation
- Understanding tender specifications and estimating E&I parts based on the inputs provided
- Demonstrating good communication skills with vendors & clients
Key Accountabilities:
- Conducting design calculations for sizing electrical panels, MCC, cables, and earthing
- Calculating power consumption of plants and sizing calculations for incomer MCC, motors
- Studying tender documents and preparing specifications and datasheets for MCC, motors, power cables, control cables, LPBS
- Developing equipment/system specifications, single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, VFD panels, cable specifications
- Creating plant cable tray layout, earthing layout with electrical draftsman
- Generating load lists (process & supply) based on inputs from mechanical & supply requirements

- Preparing cable and interconnecting schedules of power and control cables for WTP, STP, ETP
- Compiling instruments index, IO list, JB schedule, SOV box schedule, RFQ for PLC system, RFQ of instruments (PG, PT, MGFT, LS, LG), RFQ of analyzers (silica, PH, conductivity, ORP, etc.)
- Technically evaluating offers from vendors for MCC, motors, cables, LPBS, VFD, PLC, instruments, cable tray, GA drawing, scheme drawing, interconnection details
- Participating in inspection and testing of electrical panels/equipment/PLC at vendor works
- Engaging in project review meetings, both internal and external, and addressing/resolving technical queries raised by clients and vendors
In addition to your technical skills in cable, MCC, PLC, and instruments, your ability to design for water and wastewater projects will be a valuable asset in this role.,
