Staff Software Engineer

Your role and responsibilities
Staff Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Coppell, TX (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

• Coordinate with leadership and key stakeholders to implement deliverables supporting the firms enterprise and technology security organization.
• Apply proper security and data privacy measures to protect the firms data.
• Contribute to architectural, design, test, and support discussions.
• Act as a key contributor for a ServiceNow development team delivering features using script including business rules, workflows, ACLs, and other core platform elements.
• Work on secure service integrate and highly available back-end systems using REST APIs.
• Design standards to create modern, effective, and efficient systems.
• Work in an Agile team environment and apply a variety of Agile/enterprise design thinking practices including stand-ups, planning sessions, and playbacks.
• Work on change management across multiple deployment tiers (production and non-production).
• Work on complex coding and architectural interconnected systems.

• Utilize: Java, SQL, JavaScript, Python, ServiceNow.

Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelors degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer, Back-End Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Java, SQL, JavaScript, Python, ServiceNow. SN136. $149781 to $162000 per year. Full time.
