We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant – R2R – Balance Sheet Reconciliations with a strong focus on balance sheet reconciliations and process improvement to join our finance team at Ideagen. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing our financial control environment by ensuring the accuracy of our balance sheets and continuously improving reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process on specific areas of the balance sheet.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigating variances, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain standard templates and procedures for balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform thorough reviews and analysis of reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• identify areas for improvement within the balance sheet reconciliation process and implement lean principles to increase efficiency and effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies; and maintain the integrity of the financial ledger.
  

Skills And Experience
Essential

• Proficiency with financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel etc.);
• Experience of performing, maintaining and developing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience on finance projects and systems improvements.
• Strong partnering and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work across finance and non-finance colleagues effectively.
• Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
