Business Analyst - Commercial Real Estate ( CRE ) & Construction Lending
Job Summary
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our growing team and play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our CRE & Construction loan origination and administration platform. You will be a key bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and the technology team, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers in the commercial real estate market.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
o Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for CRE & Construction loan origination and post-closing administration (including draw management and disbursement processes).
o Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys with stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points.
o Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Product Development & Enhancement:
o Collaborate with product owners to define product vision, roadmap, and release plans.
o Contribute to the design and development of new features and functionalities for our loan origination and administration platform.
o Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and automation.

Construction Loan Monitoring Expertise:
o Develop a deep understanding of construction loan processes, including budget management, draw requests, inspections, and disbursements.
o Ensure the system accurately reflects industry best practices and regulatory requirements for construction loan administration.
Documentation and Communication:
o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, data dictionaries, and user manuals.
o Effectively communicate requirements and product updates to stakeholders across different departments.
o Collaborate closely with developers and QA testers to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on commercial real estate lending.
Deep understanding of CRE & Construction loan products, including origination, underwriting, closing, and post-closing administration.
Hands-on experience with construction loan monitoring and draw management processes.
Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Bachelors degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
Bonus Points:
Experience with loan origination systems (LOS).
Familiarity with construction lending software and technologies.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to CRE & Construction lending.
