Job Description

An experienced finance professional with over 6 years in a leadership role, overseeing end-to-end financial management, including budgeting, treasury, taxation, statutory books closing and audit finalization, costing, and financial reporting. Proven expertise in strategic planning, credit control, and pricing support in close partnership with senior leadership. Demonstrates strong financial governance, effective cash flow oversight, robust internal controls, and strict compliance with regulatory and audit standards. Leads and develops high-performing finance teams, driving operational efficiency and enabling business growth through data-driven decision-making and sound financial stewardship.

About the Role

Develop long-term strategies and governance frameworks for credit control and collections management. Support senior leadership in defining financial control objectives, setting targets, and establishing robust internal control mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance and Marketing teams to formulate pricing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the budgeting process at the business unit level, including preparation of budget schedules, formats, assumptions, and consolidation of departmental inputs.
  • Monitor budget adherence, perform variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Upload and maintain final budgets in ERP systems and ensure periodic tracking of performance against budgets.
  • Oversee treasury operations, including receipts, payments processing, bank reconciliations, and period-end closings.
  • Forecast cash/funding requirements and ensure timely availability of funds for operations.
  • Identify low-cost funding sources and negotiate with financial institutions for favorable terms.
  • Define and implement credit policies including management of credit limits, arrears, and advance payments.
  • Monitor customer-wise aging, outstanding balances, and collection performance metrics.
  • Identify collection risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely settlements.
  • Guide monthly/quarterly/annual costing processes, including new product costing, cost allocation, and calculation of man-minute and component costs.
  • Ensure timely preparation of costing-related MIS reports and variance analyses.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to optimize budgeting and costing cycles.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
  • Finalize the statutory books and ensure sign off of clean statutory audit report.
  • Ensure compliance with Statutory return filing norms and timelines.
  • Supervise activities of Companys secretarial compliances.
  • Enhance internal controls and participate in the implementation of control programs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team; manage workload allocation, training, performance reviews, and engagement.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review goals, achievements, and address any employee concerns.

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant and/or Finance qualification, MBA in Finance.
