Senior Electrical Design Engineer

:

• Design power and control circuits for Rack unit panels including panel layouts. Understanding control functionality of various controllers and implement in schematics.
• Knowledge of EN/UL 61010-1 compliance and testing methods and related standards for scientific and laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of harnessing, cables, connectors and connecting methods during assembly of panels. develop and understand electrical schematics and how they are related to physical systems.
• Knowledge on PLM tool like Agile and Windchill (preferably Windchill), Contribute to design transfer activities such as process validations.
  
• Work with cross-functional teams, finding optimization in cost and simplification the existing design for efficient functionalities and features.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/ vendors to assess specification, quality validation and cost consideration in designing the controls for the equipment.
• Knowledge on basic engineering calculations and component selection like switchgears, cables, Wire and accessories. Also Preparing the supporting documentation like Breaker discrimination reports and Test reports for demonstrating compliance on safety design.
• Understanding international standards like IEC, NEC, CSA and their compliances.
• Develop electrical schematics (2D) and cable assembly drawings & routing (3D) in Solidworks and Creo (Preferably Creo)
• Generate and release engineering drawings in Creo, FMEAs (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), and Engineering Change Notices

• Schedule design activities and coordinate with other design teams to ensure timely completion of projects per plan and pre-set parameter for new design projects and development of existing products.
• Coordinate changes with manufacturing, procurement, supplier, and product approval teams for drive best in class designs.
• Support engineering builds to identify failures, conduct root cause analysis and provide solutions.

Essential Skills:

2D & 3D in Creo, Solidworks, AutoCAD, EPDM/EPM
