India Alternatives - Investment Analyst

Job Summary:
India Alternatives Investment Advisors is looking for a sharp, ambitious Analyst to join our investment team. If you're a Chartered Accountant (first attempt only), B.Com, or B.Tech graduate from top tier colleges with 1-2 years of experience in commercial due diligence, valuation, or consulting at a reputed firm, this role offers real responsibility from day one. You'll work directly with senior leadership on high-stakes investment decisions, build financial models that shape deal outcomes, conduct deep-dive research across industries, and track the performance of our portfolio companies. You'll be in the room where decisions happen, gaining end-to-end exposure to private equity investing.
This is a part of the 3 year India Alternatives Analyst program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare financials models an analysis of potential investment opportunities
2. Perform due diligence on companies and support the investment process.
3. Assist in all operational aspects of the investment portfolio, including ensuring timely and error free monthly and quarterly MIS information from other portfolio companies
4. Help in all aspects of fund administration
5. Assist the team for Investor relations reporting requirements: monthly newsletters, quarterly updates and annual valuations of the portfolio companies by a big 4 accounting firm
6. Identify new investment opportunities
7. Help in fostering a positive team-oriented culture that will continue to attract and retain top talent in the organisation
8. Any other work/ project as and when required
What We're Looking For

Education:
- CA (first attempt only), B.Com, or B.Tech from top tier colleges
Experience:
- 1-2 years in commercial due diligence, valuation, or consulting at a reputed firm
- Comfort with financial modeling, valuation frameworks, and business analysis
Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint, Accounting aspects and strong financial modeling skills
- Should be able to work collaboratively with the team
- Should possess strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to listen to and comprehend information
