Job Description
- As a Finance Controller at ZARA Inditex, your main responsibility will be to collaborate with all departments to develop the Operational Budget. You will be analyzing and reporting on deviations between actuals and the approved budget, as well as audit and review closing operations. Additionally, you will provide monthly reports to the country manager and Headquarter Controlling Department, focusing on key performance indicators such as sales, worked hours, productivity, P&L, and investments. You will also be responsible for reporting monthly forecasts to the headquarters and participating in feasibility studies for company events like openings, relocations, and refurbishments. Furthermore, you will implement expense control plans and propose optimization strategies.
To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or ACCA certification is preferred). You must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information. Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills are essential for this position, as you will be interacting with various departments and the general management of the branch. Your role will require methodical and detailed work, as well as a quick adaptation to changes in the business environment. Knowledge of advanced local accounting principles and procedures, with a preference for IFRS knowledge, will be highly valued.
