Job Description

You are a Mid-Level Software Testing Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience, working at Infinitalent Consulting (P) Ltd in Bangalore. Your primary responsibility involves performing software testing activities, such as test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting. You will collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software defects, conduct regression testing, and ensure software quality standards are met. It is essential to document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, staying updated with industry trends and incorporating best practices in software testing is crucial.

You should possess 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing with knowledge of .net, PLC Programming, Troubleshooting, Hardware Diagnostics, and patches installation. A strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and PC hardware is required. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is crucial.
Furthermore, you should have a good understanding of networks and possess a background in SW/Electronics/Firmware/IT. Knowledge of PC hardware, diagnostics, and troubleshooting is necessary. Your troubleshooting skills should include the ability to read logs, identify problems, and perform a triage to understand if an issue is related to PLC, Press Software, or Print Electronics. It is important to have a comprehensive understanding of the entire Software/Print electronics workflow.

Soft skills and language proficiency are key attributes for this position. You should be able to document issues effectively and follow structured processes. A proactive and independent approach to work is highly valued. Experience with software (Press SW and/or OS) upgrades, downgrades, or patches installation is required. Previous experience working with or programming PLCs is a significant advantage.
While programming may not be the main task, having some experience in .Net would be beneficial. You should also be familiar with PLC upgrades/downgrades and managing compatibility within releases composed of different software packages. Overall, your role will involve ensuring the quality and functionality of software through comprehensive testing procedures and collaboration with development teams.,
