Role & responsibilities:

• Contract Drafting & Review (Core Responsibility) Draft, review, and assist in negotiation of technology and commercial agreements, including: SaaS / subscription agreements/API, data sharing Vendor and service provider contracts NDAs, MOUs, and standard commercial templates
• Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) Support the legal team in maintaining standard contract templates and playbooks.
• Flag legal and commercial risks and escalate complex issues appropriately.

• Privacy & Data Protection Support Assist in implementation and ongoing compliance with privacy and data protection laws, including: Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) GDPR and other applicable global privacy frameworks (as relevant)
• Support drafting and updating of privacy-related documentation such as: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, consent notices Internal privacy SOPs and guidelines Assist in reviewing product features, data flows, and vendor arrangements from a privacy perspective.
• Support handling of data principal requests and internal privacy assessments.

• Product & Business Legal Support - Provide legal assistance to product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams on day-to-day matters.
• Support review of online terms, platform rules, user-facing content and marketing materials.
• Assist in legal review for new product launches, features, and partnerships. Conduct preliminary legal risk analysis and prepare internal notes.

• Regulatory & Compliance Assistance Support compliance with applicable laws including IT laws, IPR Laws, consumer protection, e-commerce, and digital advertising regulations.
• Track legal and regulatory developments relevant to internet-based businesses and share updates with the team.
• Assist in internal audits, compliance reporting, and documentation.

  Litigation & Dispute Support Assist in managing consumer complaints, legal notices, and disputes.
• Coordinate with external counsel for litigation and regulatory matters under supervision.
• Maintain case trackers, documentation, and status updates.

• .Policy & Knowledge Management Assist in drafting and updating internal policies related to data protection, information security, and legal compliance.
• Support legal awareness initiatives and training material preparation. Maintain legal repositories, trackers, and compliance records.

Preferred candidate profile-

36 years of post-qualification experience in Internet-based product companies, SaaS, fintech, edtech, consumer tech, or Technology , Prior exposure to technology contracts and privacy compliance is strongly preferred
