Job Description
- You will be responsible for understanding business requirements in the BI context and designing data models to convert raw data into meaningful insights. Your role will involve creating dashboards and visually interactive reports using Power BI, identifying KPIs with clear objectives, and monitoring them consistently. It is essential to analyze data and present it through reports that can assist in decision-making. You should be able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and determine the timeline to accomplish tasks effectively.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing reports and dashboards primarily on the Microsoft Tool stack/Power BI. Familiarity with Power Platform tools, MS365, SharePoint, and Teams would be advantageous. Stakeholder management experience and good estimation skills are essential for this role. You should demonstrate the ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time-critical environment.
Key responsibilities include leveraging data sets and data flows, shaping and combining multiple data sources, preparing data models, building and demonstrating prototypes, visualizations, and reports. You will explore ways to enhance visualizations and data models, collaborate with data and analytics team members, and evaluate report performance metrics to implement improvements.
In terms of technical expertise, you should be proficient in working with SQL Server TSQL stored procedures, as well as have knowledge of software such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs for developing and completing required reports. The ideal candidate will have 4.5-6 years of experience in the field with primary skills in BI & Visualization Development. Additional skills in Business Objects, Tableau, and BI & Visualization Development would be beneficial.
