Senior Engineer - Data Mart

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect specializing in the Self Service Model to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and user-friendly data marts for self-service analytics. With your extensive knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and self-service analytics, you will play a crucial role in empowering business users to access and analyze data independently, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

• Solution Design Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to understand data requirements and design self-service data marts that meet their analytics needs.
• Data Modeling Design and implement data models and schemas for self-service data marts, ensuring they are optimized for performance, scalability, and ease of use.
• Data Integration Define and implement data integration processes to aggregate and transform data from various sources into the self-service data marts, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Self-Service Analytics Design and implement user-friendly interfaces and tools for business users to access and analyze data independently, enabling self-service analytics.
• Data Governance Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards for the self-service data marts, ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and compliance.
• Performance Optimization Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the self-service data marts, ensuring optimal data processing, query performance, and system scalability.
• Data Documentation Create and maintain documentation for the self-service data marts, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage, ensuring transparency and understanding of the data assets.
  
• Collaboration and Training Collaborate with business users and analysts to understand their analytics needs and provide training and support on self-service analytics tools and methodologies.
• Data Security Implement appropriate security measures and access controls for the self-service data marts, ensuring data privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement Stay abreast of emerging technologies, best practices, and trends in self-service analytics and data management, incorporating them into solution designs and development processes.
• Leadership and Mentoring Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the data architecture team, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
• Stakeholder Communication Communicate and present solution designs, recommendations, and progress updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing concerns.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and self-service analytics, with a focus on designing and implementing self-service data marts.
• Strong expertise in data modeling techniques, data mart design, and schema design for self-service analytics.
