Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Bengaluru for an Accountant - Global Indirect Taxation. The role involves managing global indirect tax compliance, ensuring accurate reporting, and assisting in tax audits and assessments.

Responsibilities

• File indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, Sales Tax) on time and ensure compliance with local laws.
• Process accurate tax payments promptly.
  
• Maintain documentation for tax filings and payments.
• Reconcile tax reports with accounting records and resolve discrepancies.
• Track tax deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
• Support data collection for tax reporting and compliance.
• Work with tax, accounting, finance teams, and external partners.
• Assist with preparing monthly accruals and amortization entries.
• Review financial risks and ensure accurate reporting.
• Continuously improve processes for better efficiency and controls.
• Meet monthly SSC KPIs and SLAs.
• Implement and maintain company policy compliance and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Indirect tax across multiple geographies, Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in General Ledger Accounting
• Knowledge of Oracle Ebiz R12, Blackline, Quickbase, QlikSense, Alteryx automation and Google Workspace would be a plus
• Strong experience with Excel
• Detail oriented with strong end-to-end process orientation
• Excellent organizational skills, time prioritization, and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication, documentation and analytical skills with attention to details
• Strong customer service/support skills. Ability to build strong relationships and partner cross-functionally
• Ability to manage high volumes
