Validation And Verification Engineer Lighting Product

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Validation and Verification Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and manufacturability of our Power Supplies, LED Lights, LED Displays, and Embedded Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for PCB verification, BoM validation, performance and reliability testing, and ensuring a smooth transition from prototype to mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PCB & BoM Validation:

Verify PCB layout for compliance with design guidelines, EMI/EMC considerations, and thermal constraints.

Ensure BoM accuracy by checking component specifications, sourcing feasibility, and alternates for critical components.

2. Performance Testing:

Conduct electrical and thermal performance testing for SMPS, LED drivers, LED displays, and embedded systems.

Validate input/output parameters, efficiency, surge protection, and voltage regulation under various operating conditions.

Debug and optimize designs in collaboration with the R&D team.

3. Reliability Testing:

Perform environmental stress tests, burn-in tests, and accelerated life tests to validate product durability.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (BIS, IEC, ISO, etc.).

Identify potential failure points and work on design improvements.

4. Pilot Run & Production Validation:

Oversee pilot production runs to validate manufacturability and process stability.

Work closely with production teams to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles are met.

Identify and resolve any yield or quality issues before mass production.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Education: B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.

Experience: 6-7 years in validation and verification of power electronics, LED lighting, embedded systems, or related fields.

Hands-on experience with Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Load Testers, and EMI/EMC Testing Equipment

Strong knowledge of SMPS, LED drivers, power electronics, and embedded system testing.

Familiarity with industry standards like BIS, IEC, EN, and UL.

Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Production teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in automated test setups for power electronics validation.

Knowledge of failure analysis methods (FMEA, DFMEA, etc.).

Experience in working with power supply, LED drivers, or IoT-based embedded systems.
