Design Engineer - NX

Key Responsibilities:

• Take lead design decisions related to plastic and sheet metal components, considering tooling, manufacturing, prototyping, durability, and safety perspectives.
• Drive concept development for new automotive components and systems.
• Lead the design, packaging, tooling, manufacturing, durability, safety, and costing aspects for Driving Assist/Safety Sensors and their associated brackets, housings, and covers.
• Conduct Field of View (FoV) investigations, mechanical coordination, and optimal packaging of sensors within vehicle architectures.
• 
  Perform comprehensive design reviews and manage the release of parts and assemblies through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Collaborate effectively with internal design engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to make critical design decisions for plastic and sheet metal components, considering various lifecycle aspects.

  Get Hired
  Expertise in CAD software, specifically NX.
• Strong experience in concept development and innovative problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) studies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in both European and US markets relevant to automotive components.
• Proficiency in Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and release control processes, coupled with a strong understanding of drawing standards.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of Driving Assist/Safety Sensors, including packaging and mechanical coordination.
