About the Role

We are hiring a Product Engineering Head to lead the end-to-end engineering function for our SaaS product platform. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technology leader with strong expertise in solution architecture, cloud (AWS), Java/Python development, and proven experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise-grade products.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the SaaS platform.
  
• Drive architecture, design, and technology decisions aligned with product goals.
  
• Establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  
• Build, scale, and lead high-performing engineering teams across multiple projects.
  
• Collaborate closely with product management, design, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology and business vision.
  

Solution Architecture & Product Delivery

• Lead solution architecture for distributed, cloud-native systems.
  
• Oversee design, development, and deployment of scalable microservices.
  
• Ensure
  
  performance optimization, data security, and system reliability.
  
• Drive adoption of modern frameworks, automation, and best coding practices.
  
• Manage multiple production rollouts and ensure high-quality delivery.
  

People & Project Management

• Manage and mentor teams of 15+ engineers across functions.
  
• Conduct performance reviews, technical mentoring, and skill development.
  
• Promote a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Leadership

• 15+ years overall experience in software engineering; minimum 5 years in an engineering management role.
  
• Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect or equivalent role.
  
• Proven experience in SaaS / PaaS / Cloud product development.
  
• AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectMandatory (valid within 1 year).
  

Programming & Architecture

• Java (8+ years) – strong object-oriented design & system architecture expertise.
  
• Python (5+ years) – hands-on experience building production-grade systems.
  
• Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems.
  
• Strong knowledge of system integration, performance tuning, and scalability.
  

Frameworks & Tools

• Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Django, Flask, FastAPI.
  
• React / Angular (for full-stack understanding).
  
• Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, Redis, Elasticsearch.
  

Databases

• Relational: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle.
  
• NoSQL: MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra.
  

DevOps & Cloud

• Hands-on with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  
• Version control: Git, GitLab, GitHub.
  
• Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic.
  
• Strong experience in AWS cloud services, including:
  
• EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, Security Groups.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
• Experience in SaaS platform engineering or startup environments.
  
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation.
  
• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
  
• Additional certifications in AWS DevOps / Azure / GCP Architect preferred.
