Data Quality Analyst

Job Purpose

The Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for testing the products/reports/trade repositories developed for product and customer analytics, company-wide data uniformity, data consolidation and senior executive requested analyses. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategies to test new and existing reports. The ideal candidate will have experience working on projects in collaboration with other teams including Product Management, Data Warehouse, ETL, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test strategy and test cases


• Gather information from disparate systems to resolve problems


• Work with Business Analysts, SQL Developers, ETL and Data Warehouse Engineers to review technical requirements and produce test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases to validate code that generates data in reports and dashboards


• Write, execute and debug SQL queries to confirm data completeness, correctness, data transformation and data quality testing


• Document and maintain content and structure of all testing documents / artifacts
  


• Lead distributed testing efforts

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelors or equivalent degree in IT/Math/Quantitative discipline


• 4+ years of experience in software testing enterprise data warehouse environments


• 3+ year of experience working with SQL, developing complex SQL queries, and leveraging SQL in Tableau


• 1+ year of experience in Alteryx, R or Python coding


• Understanding of Data Governance and Data Modeling


• Exposure to testing data for data marts, data warehouses, and data integration solutions
