Job Description
- As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of IHG's external ESG & Responsible Business narrative. This includes tasks such as crafting the annual external Responsible Business Report, ESG Databook, and RB Annual Report disclosures. Your role will also involve specialist reporting to address specific regulatory/stakeholder requirements related to Responsible Business, such as TCFD recommendations and CSRD compliance.
You will play a key role in tracking and reporting progress against our Journey to Tomorrow external targets. This includes coordinating the reporting of external data for third-party ESG reporting, ratings, and research initiatives like CDP, WDI, FTSE4Good, and Sustainalytics. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing Responsible Business communication materials for both internal and external use.
In collaboration with various committees and boards within IHG, you will support the development of materials and policies related to Responsible Business. This includes drafting position statements, coordinating responses to investor queries on ESG matters, and managing all external ESG reporting requirements.
Your role will also involve the delivery of IHG's 10-year targets outlined in the Journey to Tomorrow ambitions. You will be responsible for coordinating board updates on Journey to Tomorrow and other ESG topics, ensuring TCFD disclosures and integration, and maintaining CSRD compliance.

To excel in this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field or possess an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Ideally, you will have at least 3 years of progressive work experience, demonstrating skilled project management abilities with multiple stakeholders. Strong relationship-building skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to craft communications tailored to stakeholders are essential. Commercial acumen, teamwork, independence, and initiative-taking are qualities we value in our team members.
