As part of the Internal Audit - Audit Technology Enablement team, the Data Engineer - Senior role will develop and support operational reporting, data engineering work, and our business intelligence application suite. You will be accountable for building prototypes, optimizing execution, and delivering data enabled solutions for a core portfolio of projects. In addition, you’ll support the development of a 1-3 year team roadmap, including immediately engaging in critical data related work to develop and innovate Tableau and Einstein Analytics dashboards in order to better manage Internal Audit operations. In this role you will work on high impact / high visibility projects that deliver Salesforce executives immediate business insight from use. You will be encouraged to leverage and implement the latest Salesforce products and technologies. In addition, you will often be required to address and solve ad-hoc/unstructured problems in a fast paced environment requiring quick turnaround and partnership with key stakeholders across the company.

The role is remote and will report to India.

Responsibilities:

• Build data feed prototypes from enterprise data warehouse and other data sources




• Take ownership of the data quality, data mapping, business logic, transformation rule(s) for the data feeds built and have a passion for high quality data




• As we expand into other platforms, build and implement data prototypes across diverse technology platforms i.e. Snowflake, Oracle databases, Python and cloud platforms




• Closely work with stakeholders and users to build the next generation data integration capabilities which in turn will support a variety of audit processes




• Use your expertise across a number of tools and work with IT team to build data analytics solution/ integrations




• Support solution design activities with manager, product manager, and/or stakeholders




• Provide peer review of code developed by team members




• Have a high sense of urgency to deliver projects and troubleshoot data queries / issues

  




• Always be on the lookout to automate and improve existing data processes for quicker turnaround and high productivity




• Collaboratively work and act as liaison with IT and Product teams in fast paced environment, to meet deadlines

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters (preferred) in Computer Science or related field with 2 to 5 years experience in a highly technical data organization




• 2-6 years of strong experience in writing complicated database queries in SQL language ( Oracle, Snowflake, Hive, etc.)




• 2-6 years of experience in Python and shell scripting




• 2-6 years experience with G-Suite integration using Google Apps Script and Google Colab / Jupyter Notebooks.




• Experience in ETL design and implementation




• Experience working with large data sets, knows how to work with Python and database platforms




• Strong knowledge of database performance concepts like indices and partitions




• Experience working in a data warehouse environment with diverse data sources and visualization tools like Tableau, Einstein Analytics, and Business Objects




• Proficient in designing, documenting, and developing scalable data architecture and process flows

• Salesforce experience/ certification is a plus but not required
