Role: SAP Analytics SME
Responsibilities:
As a SAP Analytics Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead proposal development, staffing estimation, and presales activities. You will be responsible for managing a team of solution architects and proposal managers, reviewing and analyzing customer requirements, and developing software bill-of-materials to meet those requirements. Additionally, you will engage with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to define project scope, set system goals, and create proposals. Communication of solution architecture, scope, details, and benefits to customers and prospects, conducting research on software and hardware products, providing demonstrations of SAP Finance functionality, and evaluating project risks are key aspects of this role. Collaborating with legal affairs, advising field teams, and ensuring quality assurance on proposed solutions are also part of the responsibilities. This position may require up to 20% sporadic travel to customer locations.
SAP Skills:
- Possessing over 10 years of experience in data architecture, presales, or consulting roles
- Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data platforms
- Deep experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and proficiency in analytics and BI tools
- Strong knowledge of SAP Data Warehouse solutions, SAP analytics tools, big data ecosystems, SQL and NoSQL databases, and data modeling
Business Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding of public sector business processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform detailed tasks
- Knowledge of SAP module functionalities and best business practices
Consulting Skills:
- Ability to work in a team environment, problem-solving skills, and strong time management
- Excellent organization and teaming skills
- Advanced communication skills and ability to negotiate with senior management
- Comfortable in adapting to communication demands across multiple time zones
Supervision Skills:
- Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to motivate and manage a team of senior professionals
Leadership Skills:

- Representation of presales in management meetings
- Strategic thinking, evaluation of demand, and design of product and consulting strategies
- Understanding of consulting ecosystem and strategic partnerships

- Leading and focusing project team efforts in developing solutions for clients
- Evaluating and designing application and technical architectures
