About the Role

We are building the cutting-edge open-source LLMOps Agentic platform called Surogate and we are looking for a highly technical Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of our open-source stack and build strategic partnerships across the AI industry. You will be on the front lines, contacting open-source project maintainers, AI startups, and enterprise developers to convince them to integrate or build upon our framework. You will act as the commercial engine of our open-source growth, heavily utilizing AI tools to scale your outreach and pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Outreach: Identify and execute cold and warm outreach to target companies, AI tool builders, and open-source developers to propose integrations, co-marketing, and technical partnerships.
  • Driving Open-Source Adoption: Pitch the unique technical advantages of our LLM and agentic frameworks to engineering leaders and technical founders to drive downloads, usage, and GitHub stars.
  • Pipeline & Deal Management: Manage the full lifecycle of a partnershipfrom the initial cold DM on Discord or LinkedIn to the final integration agreement and joint announcement.
  • AI-Scaled Sales Operations: Use advanced LLMs and AI sales tools to scrape leads, personalize cold emails at scale, and automate your CRM workflows so you spend less time on admin and more time closing.

Application Requirements (Must include to be considered)

  • Partnership Proof: A brief summary of at least two successful B2B or open-source partnerships you personally initiated and closed (please include links to the companies or announcements if possible).
  • Cold Outreach Sample: Write a short, 3-4 sentence cold email or LinkedIn DM directed at a hypothetical AI startup founder, convincing them to evaluate our new agentic training framework.
  • AI Tool Stack: A brief list of the AI tools you currently use to automate your lead generation, research, or email drafting.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven B2B SaaS, developer tool, or open-source sales/business development experience.

  • Solid understanding of the current AI landscape. You dont need to write PyTorch code, but you must know the difference between RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows to speak credibly with technical founders.
  • Relentless persistence and a thick skin for outbound sales.
  • Exceptional written English and negotiation skills.
