The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for designing, building and managing the infrastructure used in large scale data and machine learning projects. You will play a major role in developing the on-premises and cloud-based architecture to analyse and process data according to the needs of Irdeto’s internal business, Irdeto’s portfolio of products and services, as well as participate in research and innovation projects. You will work within small team configurations that includes researchers, software engineers, data scientists, and enterprise data architects to achieve this. Projects cover a wide variety of business segments, including video entertainment, online gaming, connected transport, connected manufacturing, and connected health. These projects typically have a cyber-security element to them.
Your mission at Irdeto:

• Work closely with business and product leaders, developers, architects, analysts and researchers on innovation and early-stage product development across the company
• Interface with internal and external customers to capture and analyze requirements relating to data and AI/ML projects
• Work with enterprise architecture, data scientists, and data warehousing teams to set data strategy that supports Irdeto’s corporate strategy and objectives
• Design, implement and maintain optimal cloud-based data pipelines and AI/ML architectures
• Implement data architectures, data integrations, and data migrations, covering Irdeto’s own products as well as 3rd party systems
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements
• Clean and preprocess various data sets for AI/ML projects
• Deploy AI/ML models in production, as well as maintain a continuous integration pipeline, including monitoring and optimization of the system’s performance and cost
  

How you can add value to the team?

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar fields
• Relevant Experience in a Software Engineering role, of which you have experience in Data Engineering
• Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL
• Advanced experience with big data technology, such as Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience working/developing in a DevOps environment (CI/CD, Docker, Git, Terraform)
• Experience architecting and developing based on AWS services, such S3, Athena, EMR, Kenesis, Elasticsearch, Fargate, etc. Alternatively, similar experience on Google Cloud Platform or Azure would also be considered. Appropriate certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and feature engineering techniques
• Experience manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in a team environment in a collaborative manner (Agile/Scrum)
