Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at ISS STOXX in Mumbai (Goregaon East), you will play a crucial role in the development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of financial databases used by leading asset managers worldwide. Your responsibilities will include ensuring database integrity and performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with internal product teams. Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing data ingestion, transformation, deployment, and reporting functions through automation.
The shift hours for this position are from 11 AM to 8 PM OR 12 PM to 9 PM IST.
Your key responsibilities will involve reviewing, designing, implementing, and maintaining financial databases, working on ETL processes for automation improvement, writing code for database modifications, optimizing tables and stored procedures, troubleshooting data errors, conducting ad-hoc data analysis, and enhancing C#/Java data collection applications. You will also be involved in implementing web applications and frameworks to support data ingestion.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, along with a minimum of 8+ years of programming experience in Oracle (PLSQL) and Java or .NET/C#. Strong database design, development, and analysis skills are essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot code, work with partial information, and develop efficient data pipeline solutions. Experience with GIT, Data Analysis, and familiarity with SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles are required. Effective communication skills, the ability to work independently or in small teams, and a positive, collaborative attitude are also necessary.
It would be advantageous if you have hands-on experience with .NET and ASP.NET development, familiarity with Entity Framework, LINQ, ADO.NET, QlikSense, MVC, Web APIs, and agile development environments, as well as experience with dynamic SQL.
