Assistant Manager - Purchase (Electrical And Electronics)

Profile Brief:

This role will encompass sourcing, cost negotiation and development of new products from design release and handling commercial activities of E&E commodity.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Core Competencies: Strategic sourcing/Purchasing; Costing & negotiation; Supplier Development; Risk Management; VA-VE/ cost reduction; Knowledge of SAP MM & MS Office Tools
2. Role Description: Sourcing & development of electrical, electronics & proprietary parts (like -wire harness, sensors, switches, motor, instrument cluster, ECU, Battery, Lights); Studying of drawings, identifying suitable suppliers and issuing RFQs; Work with suppliers on new product and support their development to meet design requirement & Closure of TFR queries; Having knowledge of zero base costing and Tear down analysis; New vendor selection and business allocation basis QCDM parameters; Cost reduction by long term agreement(YOY), VA/VE, Negotiation based on volume increase; Alternate sourcing for critical components; Understanding of NPIP product development cycle; Manage and control price change based on the inflation budgets (R/M & Forex); Understanding of Import buying of overseas suppliers base (like UK, Europe, USA, China base suppliers) & custom Incoterms knowledge; Create and release PO for proto samples and series production; Monitoring of PPAP activities of NPD parts along with SDE team; Handing initial supply chain of NPD parts for initial builds & capacity ramp up at suppliers and smooth handover to SCM team for regular buying.

Qualifications:

1. BE/B.Tech Electrical or Electronics;

Relevant experience:

1. 37 Years of experience in Automotive OEM or CEV field in Sourcing/Purchasing of Electrical-

Electronics parts

1. Good knowledge of manufacturing process of electronics products

Key Skills (functional): SAP MM Module; Creating & tracking Purchase order in SAP system; PLM/Team Centre; Excellent analytical skills and excellent proficiency in MS excel, power point and word; Very good communication skills (written & verbal); Adaptable to business requirement changes & scenarios
