Jindal School of Environment & Sustainability (JSES) of O.P. Jindal Global University is looking for faculty to be hired from Fall 2025 semester (August 2025) or earlier, in case of availability of outstanding candidates.
Positions
We are hiring at the level of Assistant Professor with specialization in the following areas:

• Environment and Sustainable Development
  

• Instructing courses both online and offline.
• Plan, coordinate, and instruct academic programmes in adherence with the best global pedagogical practices.
• Take an active role in outreach and admissions.
• Coordinate and organize field visits for students.
• Flexible to independently conduct practical/practicum and skill-based courses.
• Take active role in coordination and recording of online courses/modules/programme(s).

• Need to take an active role in administrative duties as assigned by the Dean of the school.
  

The appointee(s) will report to the Dean JSES.
Essential Qualification

• Bachelors of Arts/Bachelors of Science/Bachelor of Technology/Engineering degree with at least 55% (or equivalent) marks/grade points.
• Masters of Arts/Masters of Science/ Technology/Engineering degree in domains relevant to Environment and Sustainable Development with first class (60% or equivalent) marks/grade points.
• Doctoral degree from any Institute of National Importance or institutions that are listed in the top 500 as per QS or THE global ranking.
• Industry/organization working experience in the any and/or multiple of the following field(s) - Environmental management systems (ISO- 14001:2015), Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) domain, Environmental, social, and governance (ESG), Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Carbon emissions (Scope I, II, III), Carbon credit assessment & management, and green finance.
• Post-doctoral experience in research topic(s) related to domains mentioned above, from international institutions ranked within 500 in the QS/THE database, is required for candidates without industry/organisation work exposure.
  

Desired Qualification(s)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in academia, industry, or an/organisation after receiving a doctoral degree.
• Recording/coordination experience in developing an online programme is highly desirable.
• Above 5 SCOPUS-indexed publications (as first or corresponding author) in Q1/Q2 journal(s) with at least 200 citations in the SCOPUS database.
