Role Overview
The Director - Financial Process Outsourcing (FPO) will be responsible for leading, managing, and scaling the firm's finance outsourcing practice. The role demands a strategic leader who combines financial acumen, process excellence, and technological foresight to deliver high-quality, compliant, and technology-driven finance operations services to clients across industries.
The Director will serve as the key business leader responsible for driving revenue growth, client satisfaction, team development, and continuous process improvement, positioning the firm as atrusted outsourcing partner of choice.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Direction & Practice Leadership
- Define and implement the business strategy for the FPO vertical in alignment with the firm's long-term objectives.
- Develop scalable delivery models and standardized frameworks for finance and accounting outsourcing.
- Drive financial and operational planning for the division, including budgeting, performance monitoring, and profitability targets.
- Act as the key liaison between firm leadership and operational teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
2. Service Delivery & Process Excellence
- Oversee delivery of end-to-end finance and accounting outsourcing services, including:

- Accounts Payable / Receivable management
- General Ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Payroll processing and compliance
- Monthly and annual closings
- MIS reporting and management dashboards
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), process efficiency, and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 27001 standards, ensuring information security and confidentiality across all operations.
3. Business Development & Client Engagement
- Drive business growth through client acquisition, cross-selling, and relationship expansion.
- Lead business proposals, RFP responses, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Build long-term relationships with CFOs, Finance Heads, and Promoters, serving as a trusted advisor for outsourced financial solutions.
- Identify market opportunities, develop new service offerings, and strengthen the firm's positioning in the FPO domain.
4. Governance, Risk & Compliance

- Establish and monitor internal control frameworks across outsourced operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the Companies Act, GST, TDS, and other applicable laws.
- Oversee audit readiness, risk mitigation, and process documentation in line with ICAI and SEBI guidelines.
- Conduct periodic reviews of operational and financial performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
5. Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Drive process automation and digital enablement across finance operations.
- Lead implementation of ERP and accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally Prime, and Zoho Books.
- Integrate RPA tools and AI-driven analytics to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting speed.
- Promote technology adoption to deliver value-added insights and real-time visibility for clients.
6. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor high-performing teams to deliver quality outcomes and build operational depth.
- Drive talent acquisition, training, and professional development within the FPO function.
- Instill a culture of excellence, accountability, and client-centricity within the practice.
