Associate - EDU IR

SUMMARY

Ares is searching for a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player to join as an Associate in the European Credit Group specializing in Product Management and Investor Relations. This position will be responsible for all aspects of supporting relationship management activities with a focus on reporting and analysis preparation on all aspects of the group's activities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide investor relations support, including written communications with existing and potential investors.
2. Conduct market and competitor research and analysis.
3. Support investor presentations.
4. Manage ongoing relationships with finance, accounting, compliance, and business development.
5. Support Product Specialists in providing information and expertise on firm strategies and funds to clients.
6. Assist in building client materials and various prospect/marketing materials.
7. Update market and fund-specific data within existing materials on a monthly, quarterly, or ad hoc basis.

8. Tailor materials to reflect the market environment to meet the needs of various users.
9. Interface and develop strong working relationships with all internal subject matter experts (portfolio management, business development, operations, legal, compliance, human resources).
10. Produce quarterly portfolio reports and letters for investors, working with Finance and Portfolio Management teams.
11. Drive the process for creating responses to investor questionnaires, due diligence, and ad hoc requests.
12. Maintain quantitative and qualitative key metrics on competitors.
13. Help identify areas of risk and proactively propose innovative business solutions.
14. Take on ad hoc projects and support teammates as needed.
15. Create and edit marketing investor materials for co-investment and funds.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or another pre-professional field, or a discipline with exposure to accounting or corporate finance.

Experience Required:

2-4 years of experience working in an investor relations or product specialist role, OR a background in credit looking to move into a marketing-focused role in direct lending.

4. Self-starter, exceptional communication and organizational skills necessary.
5. Ability to work independently as well as with the team.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
