Associate Product Owner

What role will you play in the team

As an Associate Product Owner, you will act as the voice of the customer within our dynamic product development ecosystem. You will be instrumental in defining the product vision, translating strategic business objectives into actionable execution plans, and ensuring that our engineering squads consistently deliver high-value features that align with overarching company goals.

What you will do

You will take ownership of specific product modules, driving feature ideation, requirements gathering, and rigorous acceptance testing. By maintaining close alignment with internal stakeholders and external clients, you will manage expectations, prioritize feature requests, and utilize advanced product analytics to measure the ongoing success and ROI of deployed functionalities.

Key responsibility

• Own, manage, and continuously prioritize the product backlog utilizing Jira and Aha! to ensure maximum delivery value for end users.
• Define comprehensive acceptance criteria for every user story and conduct rigorous acceptance testing prior to production releases.
• Partner with product design teams in Figma to review user interface wireframes and validate user experience pathways.
• Track product performance metrics and funnel conversions using Amplitude and Google Analytics to identify areas for optimization.
• Facilitate effective communication channels between executive leadership, engineering teams, and customer success departments.
  
• Incorporate qualitative insights from customer feedback tools and Hotjar session recordings to resolve user friction points.
• Maintain an up-to-date product roadmap using Aha! or ProductPlan, clearly communicating release timelines and feature dependencies.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field of study.
• Between 1 to 2 years of professional experience working in product development, agile project management, or product ownership roles.
• Deep understanding of Agile Methodologies, Scrum ceremonies, Kanban workflows, and backlog grooming best practices.
• Hands-on experience working with roadmapping software such as Aha!, ProductPlan, or similar strategic planning platforms.
• Proficiency in leveraging product analytics suites like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics for data-backed decision making.
• Demonstrated competence in using project management tools including Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional dependencies and resolving conflicts.

You start your morning by reviewing key product adoption metrics in Amplitude to assess the impact of last week's feature deployment. Following this, you lead a backlog grooming session with your Scrum team, clarifying user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira. The afternoon involves collaborating with the design team on Figma wireframes, reviewing feedback from Hotjar user sessions, and updating the product roadmap in Aha! for executive review.
