Backend Python Developer

What role will you play in the team

As a Backend Python Developer, you will be an integral part of our core engineering team, responsible for building high-performance server-side logic, managing data storage solutions, and integrating various front-end elements built by co-workers. Your contributions will directly ensure the seamless processing of heavy data transactions and application scalability.

What you will do

You will design and implement low-latency, high-availability applications, write reusable and efficient Python code, integrate data storage solutions like MongoDB and MySQL, implement security and data protection measures, and deploy applications using cloud services like Microsoft Azure or AWS to support enterprise client needs.

Key responsibility

• Develop scalable server-side applications and microservices using Python and the Django framework.
• Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for seamless client communication.
• Manage and optimize database schemas across relational and non-relational systems including MySQL and MongoDB.
• Implement rigorous version control practices using Git and GitHub for code integrity and tracking.
• Integrate cloud services from AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform for deployment and storage.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and resource utilization under high-traffic conditions.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product owners to define feature specifications and deliver robust solutions.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 to 2 years of professional backend software development experience specializing in Python.
• Deep expertise in Backend Technologies, specifically Django and Express.js.
• Proficiency in Database Systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Demonstrated experience in API Development using RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Working knowledge of Version Control Systems such as Git and GitHub.
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

A Day in the Life

You start your morning by reviewing the overnight automated test results and checking ticket queues in project management software. You then dive into writing optimized Django views and designing complex database queries in MongoDB. In the afternoon, you collaborate with front-end engineers to test newly integrated API endpoints and resolve performance bottlenecks before pushing code to staging.
