About the Role
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) partners with firm leadership, service unit leaders, and stakeholders to transform complex financial data into actionable insights. This role is responsible for core planning, forecasting, and performance management processes, as well as modernizing FP&A through advanced analytics, automation, and scalable reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead firmwide and service unit level forecasting, performance analytics, and long-range planning.
- Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning and scenario analysis.
- Analyze financial results, engagement economics, client profitability, and resource utilization.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management reporting.
- Design, govern, and enhance dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling insights using strong financial storytelling.
- Partner with Accounting, HR, Operations, IT, and service unit leaders.
- Support pricing, compensation, and headcount planning initiatives.
- Drive improvements in FP&A processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, review, and coaching to FP&A analysts.
What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months):
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm's financial drivers and operating model.
- Transform budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
- Deliver clear, timely insights that influence executive decision-making.
- Establish scalable financial models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
- Build trusted relationships with firm leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Mentor and elevate FP&A analysts.
- Identify and lead opportunities for efficiency, automation, and analytical quality improvements.
- Develop a roadmap for transforming the FP&A function.
Preferred Experience / Background / Skills:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or related roles.
- Proven understanding of GAAP.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to leadership.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Preferred: MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced credential.
- Preferred: Professional services or public accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to financial planning systems and scalable planning models.
- Interest in analytics, automation, and emerging technologies (e.g., Microsoft Fabric).
- Self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving and process improvement orientation.
Location: Goregaon, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Working Hours: 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. IST, 5 days a week, with flexibility for weekends as needed.
