Job Description
What role will you play in the team:
As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will be an integral part of the deal team, supporting senior bankers in executing M&A transactions, raising capital, and providing strategic advisory services to clients. Your financial modeling and deal execution skills will be crucial to the success of our client engagements.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for building and maintaining complex financial models, conducting industry research, preparing pitch books and presentations, and assisting in the due diligence process. Your work will directly contribute to advising clients on critical financial decisions and executing transactions.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop detailed financial models including valuation analysis (DCF, LBO, Comps) and merger models.
- Conduct comprehensive industry and company research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets.
- Prepare high-quality pitch books, presentations, and marketing materials for client meetings.
- Assist in the due diligence process, including data collection, analysis, and validation.
- Support the deal team in structuring and negotiating transactions.
- Maintain relationships with clients and other financial institutions.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and regulatory changes affecting the investment banking industry.
- Prepare internal documents and presentations to inform management on key projects and industry performance.
- Work closely with senior bankers on deal strategy and execution.
- Assist in developing marketing strategies to attract new clients and grow our investment banking business.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with DCF, LBO, and Comparable Company Analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel Macros & VBA, Bloomberg Terminal, and FactSet.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience with M&A Modeling Tools and PitchBook is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in investment banking and capital markets.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
